A brief overview of how I VJ.

Its a common misconception that VJing is an expensive hobby but thats far from true. The software I use is open source and most of you already have a digital camera or a cameraphone with a memory card and a half decent computer.

1. Open TZT is the video mixing program. Very stable fast keyboard based program. Here is a tutorial.

2. VirtualDub compiles the numbered stills from the cameraphone's memory card and churns them out as avi's.

For fast performance I use MJpeg codecs, I bought mine at pegasus for about £25. The first cameraphone was a Nokia 6230, after 40,000 shots was replaced with a Nokia N70. It has a much faster camera but the phone is rubbish. Megapixels mean nothing by the way.
